David Bradbury believes this is probably the old Hollinghead and certainly that is listed between Hollinghow and Spout House in the Percy Survey of 1578 which generally follows a geographical order.
Fisher Ground is mentioned in the Eskdale Parish Registers of 1716 and 1718 for the baptisms of John and Thomas, sons of John Sharpe, but previous and subsequent references for the Sharpes are to Hollin(g)head. Note that the Fishers had lived at Hollinghead from at least 1578 to 1627 when Joseph Sharpe bought the farm.
