Devon (and Cornwall) Swindales
The Reverend Thomas Swindell moved from Derbyshire to become Vicar at Parkham, Devon in 1776. His descendants account for most of the Devonshire grouping of Swindales.
John Swindell, also from Derbyshire, moved to Suffolk in the early 1820s. Two sons born there moved to the Plymouth area but left no family settled in the area.
The ancestry of Sarah Swindale has not yet been traced, nor has that of Thomas Swindle.
