Edward Hartley
Probably son of Nicholas and Isabella Hartley, baptised on the 20th of January 1707 at St Catherine's, Eskdale, Cumberland2
Not known to have married - no wife nor children mentioned in will
Buried on the 19th of October 1752 at St Catherine's from Spouthouse leaving will
A miller by trade, Bought Eskdale Mill in 1737.3 Left £30 in his will to pay for a teacher in Eskdale (out of a personal estate of £300 - ie excluding 'real estate'.)

1 Brother of Bridget Hartley who married John Porter.
2 An Edward Hartley, son of John was baptised on the 9th of September 1705. A Henry Hartley, son of John and Susan was baptised on the 21st September 1708. However this Edward dies at Paddock-Wray in 1769 leaving a will.
