1 John Hartley mentions his granddaughter Ruth in his will in 1755 but leaves her just one shilling. Henry is dead by this time. Henry's brother, Edward Hartley, mentions Ruth Robinson widow of Ambleside in his will, leaving her a nominal 2/6d.
2 Sarah Dickinson, daughter of Elizabeth by her second husband, William Dickinson, was left Dawson Ground in the will of William Dickinson 1764. Thomas Hartley of Dawson Ground died in 1721. Presumably Henry had inherited from Thomas.
