Nicholas Hartley of Langrigg Green, Mitredale
Mentioned in the Percy Survey of 1578 and the Eskdale 24 Book, 1587. Note that the Percy Survey and Eskdale 24 Book also mention a Nicholas Hartley of Peel Place as well as John Hartley, Richard Hartley, Gilbert Hartley, William Hartley and Christopher Hartley. The list of the homage of Eskdale ward in the Percy Survey lists Nicholas Hartley and Nicholas Hartley Junior.
This is possibly the Nicholas Hartley of Mitredale who dies in 1627, but that Nicholas still had young children and is probably the son of this Nicholas.
