1 The will Nicholas Hartley of Whase is dated 8th October 1844. CHECK REGISTER for month of burial
2 Nicholas's will does not mention John Hartley but only leaves Henry 2/6d, implying that Henry has inherited the farm. Neither does it mention Isabel - Isabel Hartley of Whoes was buried in 1737.
3 It appears that Whoes, Wha House and Whase are alternative names for the same farm, now known as Wha House.
