11 "The Correspondence of Edmund Burke" contains some footnotes relating to the Keoghs. Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797), 'British statesman and philosopher' was himself born in Dublin and met John Keogh when John visited London as part of the Catholic delegation in 1792. He invited three of John's sons, who appear to have been at school in Hackney, to visit him at his home in Beaconsfield.
12 Will drawn up in 1847, proved 1861, mentions second and third sons by name but makes no bequest to George Plunkett Keogh - who possibly was provided for under his gradfather's will.
