youngest son of the late David Fitzgerald, Esq., to Mary, only
daughter of Michael Keogh, Esq., Geevagh, county Sligo, and
grand-daughter of the late John Keogh, Esq., Mount Jerome,
county Dublin.

Philip Ryan was an Irish merchant living in Copenhagen. Shortly before he died in June 1908 he had divorced his first wife, by whom he had had three daughters, and had had an infant daughter by his second wife.
