2 Nicholson, Nicolson p 368 lists Elizabeth, but with no additional information. It also lists Mary baptised on the 15th June 1755 but this must be an mistake for the marriage.
3 According to Nicholson, Nicolson p 368 there are memorials to Ann and Jane in Nether Wasdale, both died aged 83 in 1848 and 1849 respectively. Hence an assumption that the younger Jane died before 1766. I have not noted any burial for the younger Jane at Irton around 1760.
3 Nicholson, Nicolson p 368 reckons Mary was the wife of John, son of John Nicholson and Alice Hunter and that she was buried on the 17th of September 1772 in Egremont. There seems to be no evidence to choose between the two. However Hannah, daughter of John Nicholson died at Irton in 1752 - before the Mary Nicholson marriage.
