1 Left property in his will to his grand-children Robert Stubbs, Jane Stubbs and Isaac Nicholson and £20 to his grand-daughter Sarah Gunson. Since Sarah was able to leave at least £300 in her own will in 1760, perhaps he felt that she needed less!
2 Mary married in 1717, so Robert was probably born before 1670 but very unlikely to be born before 1650.
3 If the marriage was in 1686 then Robert likely to have been born before 1660.
