The birth of a Benjamin Swindell was registered at Haslingden, Lancashire in the first quarter of 1842 (FreeBMD 21 439). THis is the only good match. In 1851 he was a lodger along with two sisters? Ellen Swindells (17) and Susannah Swindells (16) at an address in Boxxendale, Lancashire. He is lodging on his own at a different address in 1861. Not found in 1871 census or after 1881.
