1 It is an interesting question as to why the marriage was in the Chesterfield area since both bride and groom were from London. It suggests a family connection with Derbyshire. (There was a John Swindell born 1801 in Parwich, for example, but this is a long way from Chesterfield).
Further investigation shows that John's grandfather Joseph came from Derby.
2 Louisa's brother, Frederick, living with her at the time of the 1851, 1861 and 1871 censuses, gives his birthplace as Exmouth, Devon whereas Louisa was born in Winchmore Hill, Middlesex.
1891, 1901 census - living in Staines.
The marriage of John George Swindell was registered in the Chesterfield (Derbyshire) area in the third quarter of 1843 (FreeBMD 19 369). The marriage of Louisa Mary Bond is listed on the same page. The 1851 census lists Louise M. Swindell, Widow, living in Kingsbury, London.
3 The death of John George Swindell was registered at Clifton (Bristol) in the second quarter of 1850 (FreeBMD 11 222)
4 Not found in the 1841 census. There is a John Swindell, aged 15, at St Mary Newington (South London) in the the 1841 census but it doesn't seem to be the right social class. (Louisa was a 'Landed Proprietor' in 1851 and 1861 gaining a rental income from housing (1871)).
5 Frances Ann had remarried John Henland by 1871

7 The death of Louisa Mary Swindell aged 82 was registered in the Staines district in the first quarter of 1907. (FreeBMD 3 15)
