A grocer in Edinburgh, witness at the baptisms of George Rattray in 1784 and Peter Rattray in 1786, Peter is possibly the brother of John Rattray.
At his death Peter had household possession valued at £43 compared with stock of £239 and debtors of £812. Nonetheless it appears he died insolvent3.
