1 Peter's baptism was witnessed by Peter Rattray, grocer. The baptism of his elder brother, George, was also witnessed by Peter - but not that of his younger sister Marron, baptised in 1788. A Peter Rattray, merchant in Holyroodhouse was buried on the 20th September 1788 (Commissariot Record of Edinburgh 1701-1800 - Ancestry.co.uk)
