5 "Clara went to Brazil when she married and died there. She had three children, two boys and a girl, who lived us for some years after she died." (Cissie Rattray (née Mähler), Clara's niece, to her grand-daughter Daphne in 1951). Since Clara sailed out to Brazil in 1893 but Cissie married and emigrated to Rhodesia in 1901, this places Clara's death around 1893-1898. However the three children returned to England in 1892 and this may have been the source of Cissie's memories.
