Notes

1     The marriage of Robert Augustine Luke Nunns and Eliza Phillipa Hall was registered in the district of Bingham, Nottinghamshire in the third quarter of 1865 (FreeBMD 7b 447). The marriage of a Frances Philippa Hall to Harvard Holden is registered on the same page. Bingham lies between Nottingham and Grantham but the district included part of Leicestershire.

Nautilus2    The Rev. Robert Augustine Luke Nunns attended Christ's College, Cambridge. He was Rector of St Olave's in Chichester and vicar at Appledram (also known as Apuldram or Apeldreham). Appledram is a small parish south of Chichester. Adjoining Chichester harbour it is perhaps not surprising that Rev Nunns owned a small yacht,  a cutter named the Nautilus.
