2 From the date of the marriage, a tentative birth year would be c1655. However similar reasoning would put his father's birth around 1620, making Nicholas 65 when he obtained his licence to sell ale. So for the moment I suggest Nicholas born c1630 and William c1660. There should be a christening record in the Waberthwaite records to prove me right or wrong! Baptism for Nicholas found at Eskdale in 1628.
