1 The family tree provided by Anne Roberts / Jim Swindale gives Robert and Hannah's first daughter as Mary, born 1857. The Ninebanks registers give a 1858 baptism. The 1881 census gives Annie Corbett, aged 24, as Robert's daughter. Hannah Elliott, aged 3 is described as Robert's grand-child in the 1881 census - as are Elizabeth Corbett and William Corbett, the children of his daughter Annie. It is possible that Mary and Ann were twin sisters - but if so why were they not baptised together? Moreover Ann is not listed with Robert in the 1861 or 1871 censuses. The 1881 census entry is also peculiar in that it lists Ann as born in Warden and a Jane Brown (unmarried) also as Robert's daughter, born c1847.
