1 Anne Roberts believes the baptism date should be 1694, but I maintain the 1699 date after inspection of the transcript and the sequence of entries and the marriage date of 1698.
2 I have not been able to find this burial in the transcript of the Hexham Registers.
3 In the three transcripts of the marriage entry the surname is spelt Swindle, Swindel and Swindal respectively!
