1 Information from Mary Pattinson. There is a Mary Hodgson. aged 48, living in Keswick with Thomas Hodgson in the 1881 census but Mary, now Mary Dixon, is living with her mother at the time of that census.
2 The LDS transcription of the 1881 census gives 'Dixon', but information from Norman Swindle shows the name to be Axon from the 1881 and 1891 census and from the registration of the marriage in the 2nd quarter of 1860.
