Living at Harriman Field in Keswick in 1841 and 1851. In 1851 he describes himself as a pencil manufacturer [employing] 8 'hands'. In 1861 he was living in Buttermere (a joiner - retired?) but in 1871 was in Luptons Yard, Keswick (which I would judge a lower standard of accommodation).
