1 Information from her will, which includes references to many relatives and other individuals in Eskdale.
2 Identified as the daughter of Christopher Vickars by reference to her brother John's six sons, and by her husband Robert Vickars (who died before her).
3 John refers to "brother Rob[art] Vickars and Agnes now his wife" but Christopher does not refer to a son Robart. John does refer to his 'good brother' Robart Vickars - ie brother in law.
4 John Vickars appears to have given 'high whoesse' to Robert and Agnes for their lifetime, but his son Thomas Vickars is to have the tenantright after their death. Thomas Vickars is in occupation in 1633.
5 In her long list of legacies Agnes does not refer to any brothers other than John. Thomas and Christopher are presumably dead (or have left the area and are out of contact). She may, of course have had reasons for leaving them out of her will.
