1 Information from will
2 Christopher Viccars is listed as tenant of Birdhow in the Eskdale 24 book of 1587. John Viccars is listed as tenant in the Percy survey of 1578.
3 I have deduced a birthdate for his son John (if John Vickars is his son) of around 1555.
4 The link between John Vickars and this Christopher is suggested on the basis of
i) Christopher Viccars being listed as tenant of Birdhow in the Eskdale 24 book of 1587 and John passing Birdhow to his son in 1613.
ii) John Vickars naming his eldest son Christopher; there seems to be a naming pattern John - Christopher - John - Christopher.
iii) Christopher Vickars mentioning a grandson Christopher, son of John, in his will
iv) Christopher Vickars mentioning a daughter Margaret in his will and John Vickars mentioning a sister Margaret in his will. Christopher mentions a son in law William Hartley, John names Margaret's husband as William Hartley of Peel Place. However John does not mention Christopher's other sons Thomas and Christopher, but does imply he has two more sisters other than Margaret.
