Notes
1 William Vickars (d. 1661) could be the son of Thomas, eldest son of William Vickars (d. 1592). This would be consistent with his tenancy of the farm and with a naming pattern William - Thomas - William - Thomas. However see note 4.
2 A William Viccars was tenant of part of Taw House at the time of the General Fine of 1633. John Viccars was the other tenant.
3 William Vickars the younger of Taythes died 1620, being survived by his father William
4 In 1578 and 1587 there were two William Vickars at Taythes. This appears to indicate 4 separate William Vickars at Taythes over the period 1578 to 1661. ('a' dies 1592, 'b' dies ? (after 1620), 'c' dies 1620, 'd' dies 1661.
