John Russel
Son of James Russel and Mary Nicholson, baptised on the 9th of May 1772 at St Catherine's, Eskdale, Cumberland
Died 26th September 1851 having made a will in 1838.

1 There is no evidence of John ever having married. In his will he leaves his estate to his sisters and his nephew, James Russell.
2 The grant of probate gives the date of death. He died at Randlehow Cottage - where he had been living since at least 1838.
