Died on April 13th 1839 and buried on the 15th of April 1839 at St Catherine's, Eskdale aged 86 from Murthwaite.
Possibly the John and Sarah Wilson who baptised four children from Woodhow, Netherwasdale between 1786 and 1792 but the absence of any recorded children between the marriage and 1786 counts against the possibility.

1 Born 1753 from his aged at death. John was recorded as a husbandman from Muncaster in the marriage register. If he was born in Muncaster there are two candidates, John, son of Thomas Wilson, baptised in 1732, or John the son of William Wilson baptised in 1757. The latter date seems more probable.
2 William Wilson married Mary Wilson on the 10th of July 1756 at Muncaster, Cumberland
3 On their monumental inscription, Sarah is said to be the wife of John Wilson of Dalegarth Hall; however John's entry in the burial register says 'of Murthwaite'.
