married to jane swindale (swindle) he was joseph chesterhe was born 1824 in
allendale jane was born1825 in allendale they were married in1851. jane died
aged 42 and was buried 11 april1866 at warden,st michael&all angels
northumberland. as you may have guessed i'm not very good with this computer(i'm
a novice ha ha) if you have any info you can share i'd be most

following info off Ken Roddam (North pennines web site) marriage of
Joseph CHESTER & Jane SWINDALE registered Mar Qtr 1851,Hexham Reg
Dist,NBL.(FreeBMD) Joseph and Jane had the following children....Sarah born 1851
at Allendale....Craig born1854 at Allendale....Jane born 1856 at
Allendale......Joseph born 1858 at Allendale and Francis(my g.grandfather) and
Margaret twins born 1859 at Hexhamshire. IN the 1861 census this family lived at
High Lipwood Cottage, High Lipwood,Haydon Bridge.Joseph was a lead ore
miner.Jane died in 1866 and Joseph married Ann THOMPSON in 1871. I have only
been doing my tree since Feb.2006 and feel quite proud I have got this far
ha ha, i love your site and have spent many hours there keep up the good

John Swindales oldest daughter Sarah married Matthew Chester in 1811 and lived
at (High Limestone Brea) I wonder if Matthew and Joseph were brothers.Any info?
