I hoped that the lists could have been more extensive, but I
feel that the account books made available to me are only just a taste of what
may be. I am trying to track down other ledgers and if successful I will sift
out any references to Thomas & co. Have you had any luck recently? One thing I
did stumble across a few months ago was ref to two marriages which had takenj
place at "Tottle Bank" B.C. It appears that the "Registrar" had to be present at
such weddings and they are recorded at Ulverston R.O.
