Dear Joan,

Please find the enclosed Coniston Copper Mine Grigg references as promised. Sorry for the delay in getting them off to you.

I hoped that the lists could have been more extensive, but I feel that the account books made available to me are only just a taste of what may be. I am trying to track down other ledgers and if successful I will sift out any references to Thomas & co. Have you had any luck recently? One thing I did stumble across a few months ago was ref to two marriages which had takenj place at "Tottle Bank" B.C. It appears that the "Registrar" had to be present at such weddings and they are recorded at Ulverston R.O.

Kind regards,    Ted Gregg
