In the Name of God Amen The eight day
----ember Anno Dom 1676 I Isabel Hartley of
Church house in Eskdale within the pish of
St Bees and County of Cumberland Widow, being sicke
and unsafe in body, but of sound and pfect memory (praised be god)
doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner
and forme following: That is to say, first I commend my soule to
Almighty God my creator, assuredly believeing, that I shall receive full
pardon and remission of all my sins, and be saved by the precious
death and merits of my blessed saviour and Redeemer Christ Jesus, & my
body to the earth, from whence it was taken, to be burued in such
decent & Christian manner, as to my Executors hereafter named shall
be thought meet & convenient. Imprimis I give to my Son Thomas
Hartley's wife and his children my Grandchildren excepting his dau-
ghter Isabel Hartley one [sow] and a calfe Item I give to my Gran

Legacies and funerall expences, as it is agreed upon at the sealing and
delivering of thos [presents] In witness whereof I have hereunto set
