Will of Nicholas Nicholson of Yathouse 1719

In the Name of God Amen, the Sixttenth Daye of
Octobr Ano[g] Domij 1719; I Nicholas Nicholson of Yathouse
in Eskdale within the pish of St Bees & County
of Cumberland Blacksmith, Being in perfect Mind &
Memory praised be God, Do Make this My Last Will
and Testament in Manner & forme Followinge

I Give and Bequeathe My Soul Into the Hands of
Almighty God & Christ Jesus My Merciful Saviour
& Redeemer, And My Body to be Buried in Decent
Christian Manner, and as for My Worldly Goods &
Estate I Give and Bequeath the Same as Followeth

I Give and Bequeath Unto My Two GrandChildren Ann
Nicholson & Nicholas Nicholson Either of them Twenty Shillings
to be paid into the hands of John Wasdall & Abraham Stephenson
whome I Define to Take Care of ye same legacies And to put
the same forth for Interest for ye Use of ye sd Ann & Nicholas
Until they come to ye Age of one & Twenty Years & the said
Legacies to be paid A Year After My Decease. Item I Give &
Bequeath unto My Grandson Robert Stephenson Twenty
Shillings. Item I Give & Bequeath Unto My Daughter
Bridgett Haile Ten Pounds and our [Chass] Bed In Full
for her share & part. Item I Give & Bequeath Unto her
four children Hanah, Ann, Mary and Henry Twenty
Shillings Appiece, and to be paid A Yeare After My
Decease Into the hands of their Grandfather Henry Haile
Whom I Define to take Care of ye same four Twenty Shillings
And put it forth for Interest for their Uses Until the Come
to the Age of one & Twenty Years. Item I Give & Bequeath
Unto My Son John Nicholson Three Children John Stephen
& Sarah forty Shillings Appiece to be put forth for Interest
for their Uses Until ye come to ye Age of one & Twenty Years
Item I Give & Bequeath unto My Son in Law
Abraham Stephenson Two Shillings & Sixpence. Item I Give
And Bequeath Unto Unto My Daughter in Law Frances Nicholson
one Shillinge. Item I Give and Bequeath unto My Reputed Daughter
Frances Nicholson Alis Tyson Five Pounds, She Giving My
Executr a lawful Discharge. Item I Give unto My Godson
Thomas Porter one Shillinge. Item I Give unto ye Daughter
of William Wilkinson [Anas] Two Shillings & Sixpence And all the
Remainder & Residue of My Goods Chattells Rights Credits & personal
Estate I Give & Bequeath Unto My Son John Nicholson Whom I
Make Whole & Sole Executr of this My Last Will & Testament he
paying My Debts Legacies & Funeral Expences This I Declare to
be My Last Will & Testament In witness whereof I have Hereunto
set My hand & seal ye  Day & Yeare Above Written
