  •      Annual Exchange Visit
The annual exchange visit between Plateau Vert and Wolsingham offers our members the ideal opportunity to speak French with native French speakers.

Some of our guests/hosts speak fluent English, some none at all, but all are very patient with our French.

  •      French conversation evenings
The group has tried out a series of conversation evenings at members homes.

This is not intended as a structured class but rather as an opportunity to practice speaking your French, at whatever level, with fellow members of the group.

There is only one rule – for the first hour ONLY FRENCH IS TO BE SPOKEN, NO ENGLISH. Miming will be permitted! Dictionaries are allowed!

Any further sessions will be publicised here.

  •      French classes in Wolsingham

In 2010 a course of French classes was run in Wolsingham. Unfortunately there was insufficient support to continue these classes.

  •      French classes in Bishop Auckland

Many members of the group are attending or have attended daytime or evening classes at Bishop Auckland College. www.bishopaucklandcollege.ac.uk .

Classes are also run at King James I Academy  dominique_elliott@hotmail.com

  •      French classes in Spennymoor

Some of our members takes part in daytime classes organised in Tudhoe. It is not clear whether the classes will be available in 2012/3 - click here for contact details.
