Will of Frederick William Wayman [translated from the Arabic and copied from the English]
This is the last will and Testament of me, Frederick William Wayman of No. 93, Rue Tigrane Pasha, Cleopatra, Ramleh, Alexandria, Marine Engineer.
1. I hereby revoke all wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me and declare this to be my last will.
2. I give all my plate, linen, china, glass, books, pictures, furniture and other household effects to my daughters Phyllis Priestley and Ruby Dempster absolutely for division between themselves.
3. I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal property whatsoever and wheresoever not hereby or by any codicil hereto otherwise disposed of to my five children: Phyllis Priestley, Gladys Swinney, Ruby Dempster, Iris G. Williams and Geoffrey Wayman in equal shares. Provided always that if my son or any of my daughters shoud die during my lifetime leaving a child or children at my death such child or children shall take [and if more than one equally between them] the share which his, her or their parent would have taken in my said property had such parent survived me.
4. I appoint my daughter Phyllis Priestly to be the sole executrix and trustee of this my will.
5. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand to this my will this eighth day of July 1942; the said will being executed by me in triplicate, each copy to have the same effect as an original will.
When the will was proved 15 Nov 1950, his five children were Phyllis Priestley, wife of William Duckers Priestley; Gladys Swinney, wife of Edward Swinney; Ruby Dempster, wife of Eric Dempster; Iris Williams, widow of Glyn Williams; Geoffrey Frederick Wayman.
