1    Three family trees on Ancestry quote a birth date of 13th May 1817 but there is no source reference. I did not see this date in the film of the baptismal register.

Swindale in baptismal register but Swindle by the time of her marriage.

3    Query from Valerie Fairbrass 25 Jun 2002 "Elizabeth Swindle married George Bell in 1838. They lived in and around Hexham until at least 1859. The family later moved to Leadgate, Co. Durham and were there until at least 1891."

4    Valerie Fairbrass. Margaret married John Westgarth on the 3rd of July 1880 in Benfieldside, Co. Durham. They had 11 children
