SWINDALE, Kenneth Ernest - Peacefully at Streamway Villa on Saturday, November 20, 2010 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Katherine (nee O'Brien). Loving step-father of Wilfred Grieve of Toronto, Douglas Grieve (Jackie) of Demorestville and Cathy Harrington (Jeff Dickinson) of Peterborough. Cherished step-grandfather of 10. Dear step-great grandfather of 14 as well as many step-great, great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Rene. Friends will be received at the MacCOUBREY FUNERAL HOME, 30 King St. E., Cobourg on Thursday, November 25, 2010 from 10:30 am until 11:15 am. A graveside service will be held immediately following at 11:30 am at St. Michael's Cemetery, Cobourg. Those wishing may make donations to the Kidney Foundation. RAYMOND LEO O'BRIEN Passed away after a short illness on Monday, August 18th, 2008 at Scarborough General Hospital, in his 77th year. Born October 11, 1931 in Cobourg. Former employee of Outboard Marine and long standing General Motors Grandmaster Salesman. Loving father to daughters: Mary-Anne O'Brien (Raymond Leeder, predeceased), Sheila Lewis (Stephen), Lorrie O'Brien (Mark Mahler) and son Michael O'Brien (Katie). Ray was very proud of his grandchildren: Laura, Douglas, Jennifer, David, Jessica (predeceased), Kristofor, Paul, Matthew and Liam along with six wonderful great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Sid and Mary O'Brien (nee Behan). Caring brother to Kay Swindale (Ken), Pauline Hayes (Bill) and Josephine Baker. Remembered by the mother of his children, Margaret O'Brien (nee Graham) and extended family members. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21st at 1 p.m. at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home Scarborough Chapel', 4115 Lawrence Avenue East (just west of Kingston Road), followed by Funeral Service at 3 p.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to The Canadian Diabetes Association, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Canadian Foundation For The Study Of Infant Deaths, or a charity of your choice. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.
