Notes:

1    Richard Swindale's family tree lists as far as Robert - I suspect based on 1871 census.

2    There are (at least) two further Lancelot Swindales in the Registry of Births:-
    Lancelot Swindale b Dec 1883 Newcastle T 6b Page 66
    Lancelot Swindale b March 1895 Newcastle T 10b Page 29
and also, in Richard Swindale's family tree Lancelot Swindale b. 1904 Newcastle. It would thus appear that this becomes a family name in this branch of the family. I am not aware how common Lancelot became as a Christian name. A Lancelot Swindles died in Prescott (Liverpool) in 1882, one year old.

3    (Could be Hannah Windlow b. 13 Jan 1844, Willington Quay, Northumberland - however, born Benwell c.1844 according to 1881 census but Wallsend according to 1871 census

4    Many entries in electoral registers.

5    In the 1911 census Hannah states she has had 9 children, one of whom had died.
