Notes

The death certificate for Margaret's mother Mary showed the informant as Edward Pearson, son in Law.

John S Pearson is listed in the 1881 census. The baptism of a John Pearson son of Edward Pearson in Warden is not listed in the IGI. It is possible that John was an illegitimate son of Margaret - both of Margaret's sisters had illegitimate children - and that the S stands for Swindle. Confirmed.

    Information from the 1891 census

Tower Tye is on  Hadrian's Wall close to milecastle 29 (3km north of Fourstones)

The death of a Margaret Pearson aged 62 was registered in the Hexham district in the first quarter of 1904 (FreeBMD 10b 244). Margaret Swindle would have been 58/59. Humshaugh is in the Hexham registration district (and Simonburn). This is the only Margaret Pearson to die in the Hexham district between 1901 and 1911. Margaret's age has been accurate in the censuses. There are no age matches for deaths 1911-1951 in the Hexham area.
