Notes

1    A Margret Swindle aged '20' (i.e.20-25) is recorded at Dryburn Hall in the 1841 census. I believe this to be Mary although she should have been aged '25'. It could possibly be her sister Margaret (now Proud), visiting.

2    The informant at Mary's death is Edward Pearson, son-in-law (husband of Mary's daughter, Margaret)

3    It is not clear what took Mary and her daughters to Bywell St Andrews following Peter's death. Did it precede Margaret's marriage to Edward Pearson or was it the consequence?
