Like his uncle, Daniel Butler, an undertaker in Fleet Market. He was followed in this trade by his son Charles.

Notes

1   A Richard Butler, undertaker, was the nephew of Daniel Butler according to Mary Butler's will and son of Thomas Butler according to Butler Society Q48.

It is possible that the Richard whose children are listed above is the son of Daniel's nephew since if not he would have been 50 when he married. (The link of Charles also working as an undertaker suggests a close family relationship).
