Emigrated to Australia aboard the clipper 'Red Jacket' in 1857 aged 30. Possibly the George Swindle, son of George Swindle and Mary Archer, who is believed to have emigrated but also possibly the George Swindle who emigrated with his family five years later aboard the Mistress of the Seas or possibly the George Swindle recorded in the 1841 census as living at Peat Shield, West Allendale, Northumberland.

Aboard the same ship was John Swindle and his family
