Notes

If John was baptised on 4th January 1800 and was 49 when he died, he must have actually been born in 1799.

Probably the 'partner' working in Coalcleugh lead mine from 1814 to 1815 following the death of his father.

By the time of the 1841 census and Barbara's wedding in June 1848 John was describing himself as 'farmer' rather than 'miner'. He was described as 'Yeoman' on his death certificate.

The informant listed on John's death certicate was his cousin Christopher Swindle, address 'Meeting House.
