Smith Swindle

Son of Wallis Swindle and Elizabeth Smith,  born on the 17th of August 1861 at Mill House, West Allen, baptised on the 26th of August 1861 at Limestone Brae Methodist Chapel.

Married Agnes Dodd (born 1873 in Darwin?, Northumberland) in 1892

Worked from November 1874 to May 1875 as a 'blower' in Coalcleugh Mine at 1/- per day1. Was a driver in the mines by 1881, a lead miner in 1891 and a wagon driver in 1901.

Living with his mother at the time of the 1881 census and 1891 census. Living at Blue Row (Carrshields) with his wife Agnes at the time of the 1901 census.

Buried on the 3rd of July 1942 at Nenthead aged 80.3
