VII     Sir John de Eure, of Stokesley etc ; aged 22 years at his father's inq.; Inq. p.m. 41Edw. III (1367-8); married Margaret (?) Heron; will proved at Durham, 27 May 1378 (Durham Wills, Surtees Society, i, 35); to be buried in the church of the Friars Preachers, at Newcastle-on-Tyne. They had issue -

IX       Sir Ralph de Eure, Knt of Stokesley, etc., and of Malton, ju. un.; he had licence to fortify his castle at Witton; a witness in the Scrope and Grosvenor controversy, then aged 36 and upwards; died 10 Mar., 10 Henry V (1422) Inq. p.m. same year; will 9 Sept 1422; proved Durham (Reg Langley 113b); mar. 1st Isabel dau. and heiress of Sir Adomar de Atholl, brother of David de Strabolgi, Earl of Atholl. They had issue -
            Margaret, mar. Sir John Pudsey, Knt., of Bolton; will 25 Dec 1444; proved York, 7 Jan., 1444-5; to be bur. at Beverley (Test. Ebor. ii 107)1
