1 I.e. possibly the Joseph Hall baptised on the 14th of April 1702 at Hamsterley. Joseph Hall and probably his father were probably Baptists and Joseph may only have been baptised several years after birth. NO - William Hall appears to have been married c. 1696. However the previous Joseph Hall baptised at Hamsterley was 1655 - far too early.
2 "The above Joseph Hall, was father of Mr.
Jonathan Hall, of
Monkfield, married to Miss Sarah Stobbs, both members of the
church at Hamsterley, and whose family has long occupied the
same place, and opened their house for the preaching of the gospel
to others. Several other descendants of Mr. Jos. Hall, have either
been supporters of the cause, or members of Baptist churches. "
